Luka itu meninggalkan bakat. That injury leaves a scar. 那个伤口留下疤痕。
luka, injury, a cut.
itu, that.
meninggalkan, derived from tinggal, which means both to leave and to stay. How can this be? It took me a long time to understand: the word “stay” only becomes meaningful when there’s a departure.
